Barnes & Noble offers K-12 educators a free one-year Premium Membership (same benefits as paid membership, e.g. 10% off many items and free shipping) in place of the former Educator Discount program. As of research, the program is described as in beta and enrollment is in-store only.

- Bring valid school/institutional ID or pay stub and photo ID to any Barnes & Noble, Books Inc., or Tattered Cover store.
